Description:
The JB300-1100 is a unique three-phase inverter, that can be supplied with a DC bus, a single phase or three-phase line. The inverter provides a variable pulse width, block modulated six step output. This control scheme allows the inverter to use the full potential of the IGBT's, by reducing the usually high switching losses. The JB300-1100 can be setup for single or three-phase output, with frequencies up to 10,000 cycles per second.

- High Frequency supplies for Ozone applications;
- DC to AC conversion;
- Three phase, variable frequency, by-directional, AC motor supplies;
- Single phase AC motor supplies;
- Military applications requiring 400 cycles per second;
- Spindle drive supplies requiring frequencies higher than normal PWM inverters can supply;
- High frequency, high current supplies for laboratory use;
- Single to three phase output conversion.
The control scheme used in the JB-300-1100 was designed with simplicity in mind. The controls are simple to manufacture, service, repair and install.

Components:
The IGBT is the main component in the system. The newly developed IPM (Intelligent Power Module) was chosen for the JB-300-1100. The IPM requires less circuitry to control thus reducing manufacturing costs and test time. The IPMs provide short circuit protection, over temperature detection, over current detection and control supply under-voltage lockout.
